I think thanedatassassinkrios was the one who presented the challenge of depicting your Shepard from each game. So voila! Elle s’appelle Thallia Shepard, paragon, colonist, sole survivor! The third one broke my heart. Because this is Shepard after having lost Thane and Mordin, and pushed to her physical and emotional breaking point, struggling to cope with the losses she’s suffered in her life and the immense losses to come. Just that…haunted look in her eyes that she can’t even hope to hide…kills me. (high res it! because the thumbnail sucks)

In my ideal world, either both Shepard and Thane are dead or they’re both alive. In the latter, what if they had children using some genetic tinkering? Would we get cute little human/drell hybrids? Because they’d procreate like bunnies, and make Kolyat babysit all the little buggers. SQUEEEE

Probably the most depressing Shrios piece I will ever write.

Guys, I am sorry in advance. But this was an idea that needed to be put into writing, because I’m a masochist and I enjoy typing through my tears.

So what if Thane had been captured by Cerberus during the Citadel coup, and then made into a phantom? Like..if you didn’t save Jack and you later encounter her in the Cerberus base...

In the airlock, no one spoke, no one moved to help her remove her armor. Not even EDI had the nerve to enforce standard protocol. Instead they stood there, soundless - save for Garrus’ nervous tinkering of his sniper rifle - as the decontamination shower washed over them. On the bridge, Garrus tactfully cleared the path before her, almost imperceptible shakes of the head deterring anyone from interrupting her silent trek up to captain’s quarters.

She didn’t want to think. Not here. She knew the details of the incident would spread amongst the crew, but dammit, she couldn’t break down in front of them. Especially not now.

Yuka’s Silly Headcanon time: Occasionally, my Shepard lets her hair down and meanders around the Normandy with Joker, playing the ukelele, and taking song requests. And gets EDI to broadcast their little jam sessions throughout the ship. It boosts crew morale. As I was drawing this, I realized that this is probably the last piece of fanart before I play ME3, after which everything I write and draw in relation to Mass Effect will be tainted by whatever happens in the last game. I don’t want it to end because I’m afraid there will be no going back to the cozy, oblivious confines of my own silly headcanon…

And then there’s my pure renegade Shep, Isaki. This photo is literally the only thing that exists of her now. I started colouring her, got fed up with it, and threw it out. So, back to the drawing board.

On another note, I created her with the intention of romancing her with Vega (got through ME/ME2 without so much as a flirtation), but… now I’m more than a little bit concerned that that won’t be possible, what with all the murky hubbub over at the BSN… SUPERSADFACE BUT WITH FINGERS CROSSED.

I realized I needed to constrain myself artistically in this time of chaos, so I’m forcing myself to do simple sketches according to this list so I don’t run off and mire myself in anything complicated. » Bleh. Btw, Bioware, we better not see Thane in a hospital gown for any reason other than him recovering from a lung transplant or some miracle procedure to cure him.

I always figured Kas was a spiritual person, which is why she gets along with Thane so well, because their beliefs are so similar. (The characters on the lantern say “Okuda Keiji”)
